System Updates Every Time I leave my xbox for longer than 15 minutes

Does anyone know how to fix this issue??

Every time I leave my xbox for any longer than say... 15 minutes, I come back and "update time, your system wants an update". This has happened 3 times now and they have all been the same sized update. Is this actually supposed to happen or is this a glitch??

Any tips or info would be greatly appreciated.

How Long does Xbox One take to set up?!

Depending on your connection of course. On my connection, an update can take a hell of a lot longer than 5 minutes when not done while asleep.

That is absurd. I legitimately have never had a game take longer than 25 minutes to download, and update. On average, they take about 15 minutes for me. I have heard of this only in the forums and Xbox Support. I have timed several of my installs and
updates, as have my personal friends. We all are around 15 to 20 minutes

Can you please confirm if you are in the Xbox Insider program? There have been quite a few console updates issued in the last few week to consoles running in the program.

 

Yeah forgot to mention that, I am in xbox insider program. Is that why I'm getting these system updates? My friend is in it but he hasn't gotten any of these updates

 

You'll get a lot more updates being in the insider program.

Set your console for instant-on mode and they'll update while your not using your console. You'll never notice them.
