    System Update Stopped.... Can't get pass it!!!


    I took my Xbox 360 s out and started it up. Went to play a game and got a message from Xbox Live telling me an update is required to continue to use Xbox Live. So I started the update. everything was going fine until the console rebooted. I got the message,
    "System Update Stopped". Can't read your storage device." Like I said it was working fine until your ( Meaning Xbox Live) update. No matter what I try I can't get pass this message

    Here are some other ways to download the update.
    support.xbox.com/.../system-updates-info

    If the update started and then stopped, I don't think its a connection issue.

    I'm not sure if the other methods of update will work if you can't save the update to the hdd.

    You might have to get another hdd.

    Hi, before you go sending your console in for repair did you try updating using a USB flash drive or cd as described in solution 5 in the following link.

    I have used the USB method myself to resolve the error code you are getting on a few friends consoles.
