    System Update problem


    At first, my xbox said the usual “Time to update” when I turned it on so I didnt think anything of it. I clicked start update and it did the first step completely normal, then the second step (verifying) would complete to 100% so everything is still normal as of this point. The xbox would turn off then restart, but as soon as it turned back on it said the exact same thing as before, “Tome to update.” This is wjen i thought something was off, but i still just clicked update and did the entire thing all over again, but then as it turned back on it said i needed the update again. Ive updated my xbox at least 15-20 times these last few days. I’ve tried everything, I’ve tried resetting my router, restarting the xbox by holding the power button for a few seconds and then unplugging the power cable and wall outlet, I’ve tried going offline first then doing the update, I’ve tried signing into a different profile first, (IVE TRIED EVERYTHING) and nothing has worked. The only thing that has changed was at first the update was 576 MB’s but now it’s 3.8 GB’s. And no, this isn’t a problem with my wifi as it works perfects fine for my phone and fine for everything else. Not sure what else to do as no one seems to have the same problem as I do.     Have you tried clearing your cache.

    Sign in on your console and on the 'Home' hub of the dashboard and scroll to the far right, then select the 'Settings' hub.

    Then select the 'System' tile in the upper left.

    From here scroll down x2 and select 'memory.'

    Highlight the HDD and press 'Y', then select 'clear system cache.'

    (A message will pop up saying 'This will perform maintainance on your xbox 360 storage device, do you want to continue?'

    Select 'Yes.'

    Now that you've cleared the cache, pop a game in your console and install the update when prompted. You will need to

    perform this for every title you play after clearing, but it should only be the once per title now (unless future

    updates are released)

    support.xbox.com/.../system-updates-solution

    "Reset this console" option via keep games and apps usually works and you don't need USB flash drive for this step! Please tell us what happened.
