    System Update not working?

My Xbox One says I'm up to date but everything still looks the same, like nothing has changed. My cousins changed quite a bit so I'm confused as to why it claims I'm up to date yet it seems not to be.

    System update not working!!!!!

Do you have the Xbox 360 4GB internal flash memory? If so, with your console powered off, safely remove the hard drive and turn on the Xbox. Go to storage on your console and tell me if the internal flash storage shows as "Unformatted". Thank you!

    System update not working!!!!!

Hi does anything here help at all.

    -

    Error code and message

Error code xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-C000-0185 is preceded by the following message:

    Cannot process update.

    Status code: xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-C000-0185

    Problem

If you’re seeing this message and error code, it means that the update failed to download to your Xbox 360 console.

    Solutions

To resolve this problem, try the following solutions:

Solution 1: Download the update again

    1. Restart your console.
    2. Press the Guide button on your controller (center X button on your controller).
    3. Go to Settings, and then select System Settings.
    4. Select Network Settings.
    5. Select Wired Network or your wireless network name (if you're prompted to do so).
    6. Select Test Xbox Live Connection.
    7. Select Yes if you are prompted to update your console software.
If you still experience the problem, try the next solution.

Solution 2: Check your Xbox Live connection

If you're having problems connecting or staying connected to Xbox Live, see
    Xbox Live connection problems
    .

If you still experience the problem, try the next solution.

Solution 3: Make sure you have enough storage space

The latest console software update requires at least 190 megabytes (MB) of storage space (or 256 MB if you live in Japan). If you do not have enough free space, you need to move or delete some items.

Copy, move, or delete Xbox 360 content
    .

If you still experience the problem, try the next solution.

Solution 4: Clear the system cache

Removing the temporary files on your console might solve the problem. Follow the instructions at

Clear your Xbox 360 system cache
, then try downloading the update again.

If you still experience the problem, try the next solution.

Solution 5: Reinsert the storage device

After you replace the storage device, try downloading the update again.

If you still experience the problem, try the next solution.

Solution 6: Copy the update to a USB flash drive, to a CD, or to a DVD

If none of the preceding solutions fixed the problem, copy the console update from your computer to a USB flash drive, to a CD, or to a DVD, and then install the update on your console. Here’s how:

Copy to a USB flash drive

Note The USB flash drive must use the FAT32 file system.

    1. Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer.
    2. Download the update file.
    3. Click Save to save the console update .zip file to your computer.
    4. Unzip the file:
      • If you are using Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7, double-click the .zip file to unzip it.
      • If you are using an earlier version of Windows, you need to use a special software program to unzip the file (for example, WinZip).
    5. Copy the contents of the .zip file to the root directory of your USB flash drive.
    6. Unplug the USB flash drive from your computer.
    7. Plug the USB flash drive into a USB port on your Xbox 360 console.
    8. Restart the console.
    9. When the console restarts, the installation program starts automatically. Select
Yes when you are prompted to update the new console software.
    Burn to CD or DVD

You can also download the update to your computer, burn the update to a CD or DVD, and then install the update on your console. Here's how:

    1. On your computer,
      download the update file
      .
    2. Click Save to save the console update .zip file on your computer.
    3. Unzip the file:
      • If you are using Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7, double-click the .zip file to unzip it.
      • If you are using an earlier version of Windows, you need to use a special software program to unzip the file (for example, WinZip).
    4. Insert a blank, writeable CD or DVD into your computer.
    5. Copy the contents of the .zip file to the root directory on your CD or DVD, and choose to write (burn) the files to the disc.
    6. Once the files have been burned to disc, remove that disc from your computer and insert it into the disc drive on your Xbox 360 console.
    7. Restart the console.
    8. When the console restarts, the installation program starts automatically. Select
Yes when you are prompted to update the new console software.
If you get an error code such as xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-C000-0001 after you copy the update to a flash drive, a CD, or a DVD and then install the update on your console,
    contact Xbox Support.

  4. System Update not working?

Hello MasterChief! If you have the my games and apps tab in the upper right corner on your home screen then you are up to date. If not, then you can manually update your console by going to settings, console and updates and if the update available option
is highlighted you can select it and manually update your console. Hope this helps. Let me know.

    System update not working!!!!!

    Hi Shot,

It sounds like your console may be in need of some love, as this sounds like a hardware problem. I would suggest submitting it for repair via our
    Online Service Center.

Let us know how that goes, or if you have anymore questions.

Yes that's the one I have, with everything removed it still says unformatted. When I attempt to format it goes through a quick loading screen and continues to say unformatted.
