System Update Insanely Slow Download

I am in the preview program and my Xbox One is currently downloading the latest system update that is a huge 2 GBs of data. For some unknown reason it is taking FOREVER to download. It has been going for an hour and it is only at 42%. I know it is not my
internet because I did a speedtest on my computer and it was normal. What is going on? I just got home from work and I can't even use my Xbox One at all, including being able to watch TV. At the rate it is going it is going to take all night and then some
to finish because it has slowed down more and more the longer it has been downloading. The first 10% took maybe a minute and now it is doing maybe 1 MB every minute. This is beyond ridiculous. What happens if my internet cuts off?

Hey there, chambers018! To make sure our community can help you out individually, I've gone ahead and split you from that other thread. If you could, to help them out better, please post up results after you Test Network Connection under the Network Settings.

System Update Insanely Slow Download

Recently my xbox one needed to go for repairs. Had the green screen start up issue. Got it back tonight and I need to do my first initial update. It's been over an hour and it's on 2%. This is such a *** off. I know it's not

My internet cause I did a speed test on my laptop. I got nhl 15 2 weeks ago and haven't been able to play yet cause of the repair and now Im waiting for this abortion of a console to *** update. I'm ready to throw this console out the window. Any suggestions
or answers why this is taking so long??

 

You need to post in the preview forums this is a known issue for wireless connections there is more info on those forums.

 

It's a weird issue with the preview update for wireless connections. The workaround is to enable PlayTo streaming in Settings>Preferences, and that needs to be done each time you power on from it being fully off (but not from Connected Standby, where console
is on Instant On).

Unfortunately that cannot be done until you finish up this update.

 

My console been slow for 2 days. Getting .77mbps-2.4mbps instead of my usual 22mbps. But just now fixed it. Went into settings, then preferences, then unchecked the option "allow play to streaming". And then BAM!!!! 22mbps restored!!

 

mine was stuck on 33% today (around 256mb) took off my xbox one and on again. fixed it.
