System Update Failure

I've avoided the issues with the original Xbox, I've avoided the RRoD, I've avoided every single problem that has happened to the Xbox line, until now.

A few days after installing Hitman 2, my Xbox became extremely unstable, and, began to fail reading save games. I cleared everything out, figuring it was an issue with the game, reinstalled, and, everything worked fine for a while, then, it started again, but,
came back even worse, and, began to effect other games, as well as performance issues on the Xbox itself. I did a factory reset, and, again, it worked fine, for a while, but, then, after this last update, Hindenburg. I am outside of my 1 year warranty, and,
did not purchase the extended, since I've never had a problem. I've always taken care of my stuff, and, I don't have any kids around to contribute problems.

I now cycle between error E100/101/102/105 whenever the Xbox feels like it, and, on occasion, I can get past the troubleshooting screen and get back to the first time set up process, but, get stuck on downloading a new update. My Xbox currently displays this;

I've looked up as much as I can to trace down the problem, and, tried to connect the dots. I've always kept the Xbox in a well ventilated area, and, even though it's not in warranty anymore, I have not opened the Xbox myself to check the thermal paste to see
if it's still tacky, or, flaky like a croissant. I did let it update constantly whenever I wasn't using it, for ease of play. The hard drive does not sound like it's failing, but, again, I have not opened the Xbox to plug it in to a real PC to check it's lifespan.
I haven't gone as far as upgrading the drive itself with a brand new one, either, but, from what I've found, that doesn't seem to fix the issue at all, either.

Of all the research I've done, I can not find a single reason as to why these update failures run rampant through ALL of the One series, especially for the Scorpio editions. I've even gone as far as being an employee for the Click2Chat campaign that Microsoft
uses through the services of Directly to look for any back of house releases as to why these issues continue to happen "at random". I get
NOTHING, and, it all always comes back to, "Please have the user submit a repair ticket," which, by the way, most of these users that I have seen receive this "support" by fellow gamers, who have been employed to take these questions (per x
question = x dollar amount, depending on its "difficulty", which may get split between you and x amount of others if they contribute to the answer as well) have mostly been outside of warranty, and, have had to pay for out of pocket. Is Microsoft hiding a
problem here? It feels like it to me.
