System Update Failed

It's been more than 36 hours now since I got this problem; I'm in the Xbox One Update Preview and I have a new update to download, but when it starts it automatically fails, "there was a problem with the update" > retry > "It's time to update" > start update
> "there was a problem with the update". I don't know what to do, already resetted the modem and Xbox.

Tried the sync button power off as suggested. No change. Still going straight to the error screen. Frustrating...

I cant access the dashboard. Upon turning the power on, it goes straight to the error screen after a brief attempt to finish the download. No options are available. Pushing the xbox button or any other button does nothing.

Hope you got it sorted but ...

A friend of mine in the preview programme had a message saying update failed, he tried several hard resets but still the same but then hard reset, once the console was shut down he completely unplugged it from the power sockets, left for about 10 minutes,
plugged/turned it back on and then it worked.

Maybe worth a try if your still having issues, good luck!

tried that my usb desk drive is to wide to fet in the plug in the back of the xbox so i burned it to a desk and it didn't work it just goes straight back to the error screen after a brief attempt to finish the download.

You are going to need to download the microsoft update package onto a usb disk drive and plug it into the console..

You will then boot the console using the power button, the console will recognize the signed update package and proceed to flash the update onto your console

Download this systemupdate:
download.microsoft.com/.../SystemUpdate_15574_USB.zip (OFFICIAL MS WEBSITE!!)

This is the systemupdate you need.

After that, follow these steps:

1.) Unrar the download

2.) Copy the $SystemUpdate folder to the root of a CD or USB Stick (The memory stick must be FAT or Fat32 formatted)

3.) Insert the CD or USB Stick into your Xbox 360 console.

4.) You will be automatically prompted to update with a USB stick, with a CD / DVD it should say Mixed Media Disc, power down the 360 and power it on again. You should be ask to update before the 360 boots to the dashboard.

5.) Once the update is complete your Xbox 360 will restart then boot up to the new dashboard. Enjoy!

Hey there, that would be caused by a few things, have you been through all the steps on this page? Troubleshoot console update problems.

In particular, I'm wondering if you've tried removing all accessories (including HDD) How does that go?
