System Update Error Message

Hi. I've tried on several different occasions to download the new system update and I continue to get 40A300003080050680072EE2. I have enough storage space, I've cleared the system cache, reinserted the storage device, and copied the update to a USB flash
drive or CD/DVD and I still get the same error message. I have a wired connection and use a Cisco Valet. Any help would be great.

Original Xbox 360 E74 error message- Solution

If your Xbox 360 has failed because of the E74 error, you’ll see the following message on the screen when you turn on your Original Xbox 360 console:

System Error. Contact Xbox Customer Support.
E74

If you see this error message, you must repair your console. The warranty period for the E74 error is three years from the original purchase date of the console. If the warranty period expires, you’ll have to pay for the repair.

System Update Stopped Error Message

I fixed it. I put in Madden 25 and it updated itself........I guess the other games were not current enough.

Transfer all the content you want to keep to flash drives and format your hdd plus clear your system cache 3 times

Check to make sure the update is on what storage device you play it, like a flash drive or the Xbox itself.

we are in the same position as you....please post if you figure anything out. My 7 year old is soooo sad he can't play any of his games.

We haven't done an update, that's the problem! As the Xbox is not connected to the Internet how can it start doing an update?
