System storage issues

Since my internal has now become fairly full (94%) im getting a black hang screen on power up that doesn't go away. The only way to rectify it is to power off and remove the power plug, then on the next start up it works fine. I'm trying to move all of
the storage from internal to a 2tb sea gate external. However when I go to manage storage and then select the external there is no option to make default, transfer or anything like it only view or format. Does anyone know how I can transfer from internal to
external ? Doe it mean buying a different external drive? Any help would be appreciated.

Xbox combined storage issue

When you go into "My Games & Apps". Make sure you're highlighting in "Games", top left-hand column. D-pad right and at the top of the screen are 4 drop-down boxes. These are your 'Storage filters'. Select the 4th one and set it to "All Storage". -- That should fix your issue.

 

Disc read error and other random errors?

Sorry to hear you are having issues with you system.

Have you tried clearing you xbox cache?

1.Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.

2.Select Storage or Memory.

3.Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)

4.Select Clear System Cache.

5.When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.

 

Have you formatted the external drive on Xbox One?

You must do that before you can use it.

 

Yes the drive is formatted and I have games and saves on there now running fine. I just can't transfer from internal to it? I have no idea

 

It should be possible, I transferred all my installed games from internal to external drive.

When you go to the details of installed game, there should be option to copy or move games. Move is what you want to do.

Unfortunately you have to do it for each game separately, although you can queue them for move.
