    System not recognizing Six String controller


    I started playing Power Gig again after some time. It starts, and the buttons work until I am ready to start the gig. I get a warning saying that I am not using a six string controller. It is a six string controller, and when I hit continue and try to start,
    the message just pops up again and won't let me go further. I am open to any suggestions.

    Game Peripherals Not Recognized to Fully Function

    Hello! For a Christmas present, I received a little-known rhythm game entitled: "Power Gig: Rise of the Six String." I got the complete Band Kit, which includes the game's own official guitar and drum peripherals. These instrument controllers synch up fine
    with my console. However, after I load up my "Power Gig: Rise of the Six String" disc with my guitar peripheral connected, I get a popup message in the game informing me that I am not using the official Six String guitar developed specifically for the game
    and that I would need to connect one in order to fully experience all of the features within the game.

    Today, I explained my problem to a friend who also owns "Power Gig: Rise of the Six String." He told me that after the most recent system update (for the Xbox 360 console, not the game itself); his peripherals designed for the game no longer work properly as
    they did before the system update.

    Is there any way anyone could look into this issue for me please? Basically check to see if the official “Power Gig: Rise of the Six String” guitar and drum peripherals are detected as such in the game after downloading any system updates. Thank you!

    LOL Mister Switch, the controller hog! No hurry to find out. I'd never have a need for that many controllers. I wonder how 8 controllers would work with Kinect only recognizing a maximum of six people.Last two people might have to log in manually??

    Hi, it may well be that the controller is no longer supported by the xbox software. The xbox software has been updated quite a lot since the launch of the game and if the developers don't include support for the numerous third party controllers out there
    then you get these problems.

    I'll certainly have a poke around to see of I can find any more info, have you tried the games support forums if there are any?

    You might have to go and get another controller. What it sounds like is the controller is on its last strings.
