System Link Problem with Gears of War Judgment between Xbox One & Xbox 360

i try to play gears of war 3 or gow judgment via system link.

but i can´t find the other console. it is possible to play gow 1 with a xbox one and 360. but why does it not work with 3 & j? the games are up to date. does somebody have the same problem?

the connection is build with an switch an the ip´s a fix by the router.

didn´t anybody try to play gears judgment via systemlink between one and 360?

Are you using a Router / Modem from the internet provider?

Also is it a managed switch or just a regular one like a hub?

also are both IP starting with 192.xxx.xxx.xxx?

 

wow just noticed this is from jan...

 

The boxes are connected via a managed switch, not a simple hub. and both have a static ip. the ip´s are correct, only the last number (like this xxx.xxx.xxx.1 xxx.xxx.xxx.2) is different

I never thought to try this but did right now for you,

1 xb1 and 1 360 2 tvs,

I had to use 2 different gamertags ( both have to be logged into live and both had to be gold )

turn on 360 and get to gears menu BUT don't start any game

then turn on xb1 get to gears menu

on xb1 it sees your other player online and you can join them

now your together and you can choose what game you wish to play on the 360 game lists and both are in and playing.

If you DO NOT see the other player its your managed switch I had to place a hub to see the other box also it is seen with a NON managed switch, and both xbox`s have to have open nats.

I just now tested this on all the gears of war games and they worked.

the IP`s have to start with 192.168.xxx.xxx that is a lan address I could not see the other machine with a regular outside IP.

 

@chuckrcheese: thanks for your comment. But this was not the problem. I try to connect 1x Xbox One with 1x Xbox 360 via System Link not with xbox live

and that is the funny thing. system link works with different consoles and gears 1. but not with gears 3 and judgment.

 

Ah ha, got ya I never thought of trying this - your thinking outside the box very nice, ok gow 1 and 2

do have the system link option , gow 3 and judgment both have system link removed on both the 360 and xb1 and are online only campaign standard ( arcade has private ) is public only mode Versus horde and beast all have private, looks like the system link
was removed and the only way is setting up a private game on live as stated above sorry hope that helps ya.
