System Gamertag Glitch?

Today I decided to change my gamertag from "Slown" to "Redden". I was looking for gamertags to change to and I came across the gamertag "Redden". I checked if "Redden" was available and it said it was available so I hit "Claim It!" and I filled out all my
payment information and did it. However, it didn't change my gamertag, but it did take my $10. I assumed that it isn't isn't and so I gave it around 30 minutes to 1 hour. Then, I went back to see if my gamertag was actually changed by going on Sign in to your Microsoft account again.
I searched "redden" without the uppercase R and it said it was available and "Claim It!". Me, thinking it would ask me for my payment info again and not knowing that I typed it in all lowercase, hit the "Claim It!" button and guess what, then my gamertag changes.
It ends up being "redden" instead of the "Redden" I originally paid for. I thought that it was supposed to change your gamertag and take your money at the same time, not take your money and make you try to claim your gamertag again. Correct me if I am wrong.
I really want my gamertag to be "Redden" instead of the ugly "redden" the system glitch got me. Please, if anybody else is having this issue, drop a comment below so we can bring awareness to this issue. Thanks, Eric.

No the games great, ive given up with the xbox since microshaft lost my gamertag and gamer score in there system on friday night.

 

Live Account over 360 and Xbox One

Has it been stated anywhere how it's going to work if you move to Xbox One & keep your 360 ?

Will you still be able to log into Live with your gamertag on both machines (ie swapping between the two systems at will) or will your gamertag be stuck on the Xbox One ??

 

Update: I just found out that it also happened to my friend, who changed his name from "GsQ Zeus" to "zeusy". He wanted to get "Zeusy" with the capital Z, but the same thing happened to him.

 

You would have to change your gamertag to something else and then change it back in order to add the uppercase.

 

Yes @Smwutches I know that but I feel that they should change it for me because they messed up on their part in the system. Like it wasn't my fault.

 

@redden sorry but if you really want that capital R you will have to do it yourself be careful when you do so if you do

 

Ffs. Is anybody even reading!? This isn't my fault. The first time I typed in Redden and took my $10 and didn't change my name. The second time I just went to search my name in lowercase to check if it is available and it gives it to me. It should have worked
the first time around. I don't want to hear that "be careful" garbage please. The fact is that it should have given me my name the first time around when it took my money. Also, if I didn't go back to check if it was still available, then my name would have
never changed. I want this to be fixed and I don't like it when people like to play with my money like this.

 

If it had already taken your money and not given you the tag, there may have just been a lag in the system (that was happening to a lot of people). Before trying to change your tag again, you should have contacted support. Since you claimed the tag with
the lowercase, there is nothing that can be done unless you want to change it again yourself.
