System Error E203 0000080C 80073CF9 After Update

I am assuming my system updated during the night as my kids did not indicate they had witnessed an update being installed while in use. My daughter turned on the Xbox this morning to be greeted with a black-screen-of-death System Error message.

I went through the online troubleshooting which, based on the error prefix of e203 I was directed to the Xbox One Offline System Update Diagnostics Tool. I followed each instruction:

• downloaded the OSUDT2 file
• extracted it to the root of a newly NTFS formatted USB drive
• turned off the Xbox One
• disconnected all peripherals
• unplugged it
• plugged it back in
• attached USB drive
• pressed and held the BIND and EJECT followed by the XBOX button
• listened for the two beeps and released the BIND and EJECT

The screen then went to an installing update progress bar which after completion proceeded to display the same System Error message I had in the first place.

Will there be an updated offline patch to correct this issue or will I be needing to send my unit in for repair?

it's a new xbox when turned on it says something whent wrong at top of screen and system error at bottom with the error code

 

You may have to use the factory reset file to fix this.

 

That was what I was hoping to avoid. If they are aware of the issue and release an updated offline update to correct the issue then I will be able to continue on as usual. Setting it all up for myself, my wife, four kids, and re-downloading all the apps
and games is a nuisance.
