    System Error E203 00000803 80073CF6 - Black Screen of Death


    Attempted to apply most recent update tonight...The update downloaded fine and began to apply and then it bombed out and appears to have bricked the console. When I reboot the console, I get the error listed in the title.

    I have read up on this and it appears that many people are using the offline diagnostic tool to update and/or factory reset.

    My question is what is the success rate with trying these fixes? How many consoles have been sent in for repair? Has anyone actually gotten the factory reset or manual update to work correctly?

    I've yet to test the USB update fix, because we don't currently have a flash drive in the house, so that one unfortunately will have to wait. In the meantime, I powered down and did a hard reset of the console as instructed by Support, but nothing changed.

    Just curious as to the actual successes with getting this resolved. It appears to be a pretty common error here lately.

    When I am turning on my XBOX One, it is loading on the green screen for a few seconds and then goes to a black page where it says system error in a bunch a different languages. Then it has E203 00000803 80073CF6 at the bottom. It has been like this for about
    a week. How do i fix it?

    Being in the preview we can only use the factory reset, not use it myself I would say by what I've seen it would be a 95% success rate those that fail needing repair/exchange.
