    System error: E105 00000000 8007045D (Xbox One)

Everytime I turn my Xbox One on, it works pretty well for 10 min, till it shows a message telling that I need to erase all my savefiles so that I can save new games. While doing what it asks for, the console reinitialize and opens an error screen, showing
de code "E105 00000000 8007045D". There is no sign of a previous case of this code in the internet, and after that I always need to wait some time until the Xbox finally get to work again.. I tried almost everyway of solving reinitialization problems in Xbox,
but all of them end up on the same error screen. Any ideas of what's going on here?

    :)

I have the same problem, after just a couple weeks of use... did anyone find a permanent fix?

  5. Same issue and after some research it's come down to that the error code is basically this Xbox's red rings of death. It's a HDD failure. So if you have a warranty, use it. If not, either repeat troubleshooting steps over and over, or buy a new console.

Why is the Hard Drive even failing so much? Live I've looked about online and this issue seems really common. You would think a multimillion dollar company like Microsoft would make better equipment especially since the OneX costs $500!

  7. Just poor business practice. They wanted a system that could push native 4k and rushed one to market. I mean look at their business model now, it's not even surrounded by exclusives. It's all about backwards comp. and Game Pass, on top of shipping another
system in the next 2 years. I personally wish I kept my og xbox 1, the 1X was a waste of money in my eyes.

Microsoft and Xbox have a corporate motto, they have followed for near 40 years now... it goes like this.

    "more problems, means more money".

Somewhere along the line, a person decided that they would save money buy using a terrible or defective HDD, that person would of received a large bonus on his salary.

...that is if in fact the problem is the HDD, I had the same problem on a new Xbox One X also.

    ME TOO ! E105 00000000 8007045D

I spent £450 on an Xbox One X after having so many problems with ANOTHER defective Xbox One - the S ... and I spent 4 days trying to get it to work, updated, installed, configures, tried everything on the Xbox support page... then just gave up, sent it back
and now I have to wait for my refund from Amazon UK.

I'm not sure whether Amazon UK marketplace have criminal sellers, passing out faulty Xbox One X's at full retail price or if it is just another one of the endless problems that Microsoft and Xbox pass on to its suffering customers.

    Either way, its a disgrace!

...you would think that after all these years people would know not to trust Microsoft or Xbox, just one look at the online games store with LIVE can testify to that.

Now I am not a gamer, and I dont think I ever will be again. I cant trust Microsoft Xbox and I really cant be bothered trying PS4 or Sony, people tell me they are more reliable, but who knows.

All I know is that Microsoft Xbox One X - Something went wrong ! #SOMETHINGwentWRONG

It doesn't work like this. Think about it for a second:

Microsoft offers a one year warranty on their device. If they were doing a rushed job that causes problems for the customer, they would have to pay for a repair and replacement of a console that breaks as soon as it's out of the door.

A customer with a broken device will not buy games or Live memberships, and this is where Microsoft is making money. So they have a great interest in giving customers a device that works well, so they can continue to get money from a pleased customer when
they buy games and subscriptions on a working device.

As for resolving the E105 error:

    Follow the troubleshooter on
this page here to try and resolve the E105 error
. If that doesn't help, you need to send in your console for a repair.

Since the Xbox One X was just released November 2017, it is still within warranty, and you get it repaired for free.

So no hidden conspiracy to get people to buy new consoles or something like that.

Microsoft is LOSING money if they have to repair your consoles within warranty.

i did follow the error troubleshooter, and it came to the same resolve you mention.m

The thing is, there is no way i want to send microsoft my xbox one x, when i only just bought it...

...they offer no apologies, no compensation, the return time for your repaired console can be up to 6 weeks! ....and furthermore customers are expected to pay for sending it in the mail.

The xbox support system is disgusting.

I just take it back to where i purchased it and demand a refund, i get one everytime, much easier.

As for Microsoft having no conspiracies, i beg to differ.

Ive worked in IT since 1998 and in that time you would be AMAZED at the data i have collected on the shameful performance and business tactics of Microsoft and Xbox products and teams.

They have black ops teams who personally target enemies and individuals outspoken about their products and services... they actually attack your devices.

Microsoft from the 1990s to 2018 has evolved into something even more disgusting, it is controlled, cut up and shared between criminals business minds ...the law or decency does not even factor into their operations, just lots of Microsoft teams and friends
getting very rich and looking after each other - it is almost like a CULT!

Im 40 and i have observed every device, software, operating system, games console and various products that come to market - all had HUGE issues, glitches, failures, breakdowns ...needed updates and made A LOT of people very very rich!

Microsoft creates jobs and a false economy, while at the same time heaping upset and stress on us, the workers and customers.

I remember the 2000s, Microsoft was never out of a criminal justice court, it was always in the headlines.

Nothings changed, only now, after one head was cut off, thousands take their place ...no.1 priority is MONEY and profit, not gamers or customers.

I will never tryst them again, not many people do these do, only the ignorant ...im well aware of Microsoft, their history and how lazy and greedy the xbox team are.

I don't know where you live, but when I had to send in my old Xbox 360 for replacement or a Xbox One headset more recently, I got a shipping label sent via email that I could print out, with shipping already paid.

I just put the defective hardware in a box, attach the free label, and send it in.

Depending on the device you send in, and if you have a credit card on file, you might even be eligible for an advance exchange, where they send out a working device right away, and reserve the price for that hardware on your credit card. So no waiting for
    six weeks.

If the defective device arrives in their service center in a certain amount of time, the reservation on your card will be cancelled, or if you don't send in the defective device, you'll be billed the price for the replacement device.

Also, back then I got one month of Xbox Live Gold as compensation for my troubles.

So for me this is a pretty sweet way of handling a (warranty) repair. Sorry if they don't send you a bunch of supermodels praising your lordship and giving you backrubs until your console returns.

And if you're starting to drop numbers:

I started working in IT three years before, in 1995, working with Microsoft (on clients) and Linux systems (back then on a

    DIGITAL DEC AlphaServer
), and while your description of Microsoft as a company that attacks, buys and destroys competitors is true for the 90's Microsoft, it has since then changed a lot.

I mean, they are actively working together on Open Source Software, make Samba on Linux more secure, provide a code revision system when they bought GitHub, and with the backlash of criticism when they announced the Xbox One back in 2013, they learned to
listen to their users more. I publicly myself voiced my concern about the draconian DRM back then in the official Forums and online channels, and cancelled my preorder, but no black ops team came by to arrest and brainwash me.

They humbly used user feedback on Uservoice to make the Xbox One the console that gamers wanted.
If the gamers didn't have wished for Backwards Compatibility that much, it wouldn't have happened.

And they're not (that) greedy. Unlike Nintendo, they just let you download your owned 360 games for free. With my Nintendo consoles, I would have to buy Super Mario Bros. on the Wii Virtual Console, the 3DS Virtual Console, on the Switch etc. over and over
again, even if I already owned the NES cartridge.

Besides that, they have the Xbox FanFest that I was lucky to participate in the last years, where they gave away limited edition controllers, codes for a full year of Xbox Live Gold AND Xbox Game Pass, Headsets, 2TB hard drives, T-Shirts and other merchandising
    goodies etc.

Yes, since the E3 Fanfest they are now asking for an entry fee, that however gets 100% donated to a charitable cause.

So feel free to cower in your basement with multiple tinfoil hats and grumble about your devices getting artificially slowed down by Microsoft's software patches to get you to buy new hardware.

I'll just enjoy my working Xbox One X while my wife still plays on my still working 2013 Day One Xbox One console.

This isn't just on Microsoft, Seagate should get the blame as well it's their hard drives that are inside of the one x.

Yup, since I live outside of the US I had no choice but to open the console myself, and take out the HDD to see what's up. Further inspection showed it had a number of bad sectors but thankfully I found a detailed tutorial online on how to prepare a new
HDD to be accepted by the OneX.
