Greetings. I downloaded an update recently, and when it went to "Apply" the update it got stuck at 0%. Upon waiting for a couple of minutes I got

    System Error: e100 00000703 80910002

Upon further review and looking on the Xbox Support Site it says I have to send in my system. I filled out all of my info, and for the last week every time I hit "Pay Now" I get a message on the bottom that reads...

"We're sorry. Something went wrong on our side, and we are working on it. Please come back in a while."

Anyone else having this issue? Should I just wait it out? Is there any secret way around the error?

    :)

So my bluray drive had some problems days ago, there was no way of getting the disk in or out the drive and it wasn't even reading the disk that was already inside, so I used a clip to take the disk out and I continued playing digital only games but a wild
update appeared and now I'm stuck with the error "e100 00000703 80910002" I originally got my xbox when I was in the US but now I came back to my country, El Salvador and well... there's no actual support for the system here, is there something I can do about
this? I mean, at least I was able to play digital copies before.

I have had the same problem. I have my XBox set to Instant On and to Automatically update. However, whenever I get an overnight (preview program) update and fire up the xbox, it gets stuck at 0% on the "Applying Update" progress bar screen. After a few moments,
it falls to the choice to either restart or reset to factory with the "System Error: E100 00000703 80910002". The support website says basically it's bricked / the end, and to send it back home to Microsoft for repair. However, it seems to be that in reality,
there is not a hardware problem, only that for some software reason, it cannot complete its hardware check before applying the update. I have a Seagate external drive that I have had for years ever since they allowed external drives. It is the same model Major
Nelson said he had at the time. However, if I power down the xbox completely (power brick light is orange) for at least two minutes, unplug the external drive, and then restart, the applying update resumes normally and completes and I'm back in business.
I reconnect the external drive and carry on. So, is it my USB drive that is the problem? I don't think so, because I have been able to achieve the same result by interrupting the restart (again after two minute wait) by trying to insert a game disc into the
disc drive and making it run. Simply by doing that the update resumed completion also. So, I really don't know what the actual problem is, but this is the annoying workaround, I've had to go through after each preview update, while hoping they get this fixed
    in some future update....

    Hello MLG Watts

Due to the current connection you have I know campus's have certain restrictions etc. If you are unable to update successfully, I suggest doing the same as you have in past or even go to any place off campus to update.

    Thanks
