System crashed aafter update

My system crashed after an update was performed. After the update I started a game. My sons had bought me a NBA2k18 for my birthday, so we may play online. After starting the game it froze. So I had to force close the game and restart it. The game would
not restart. After retrying about 3 or 4 times I decided to restart the system. From then on out the situation just got worse. The system took about an hour to reboot and when it finally did nothing worked. No games nor apps. I performed a factory reset
and it seemed to work for a moment but then it did a total 180 and faulted again. I spoke with the support team and they end result is that I would have to pay to send and get my system looked at or repaired. I have been a customer of xbox from the beginning
have all systems (multiples) released, games, been an xboxlive customer for over 5 years not to mention the time I lost with the account going through this issue. I find this unsatisfactory and am very upset. Please help me out

Since the system update today, it hasn't crashed and disconnected me from the servers
