    I have an Xbox media remote that I used for my Xbox One S. I have since purchased a Series X and want to use the remote with it instead of the XB1. Right now it currently only controls the XB1. I see no way to "disconnect" it from the XB1 nor a way to
    sync it with the series X. Any ideas??

    Hi, the Xbox Media Remote controller does not get paired with your console instead it uses the IR blaster.

    Do your consoles are near or next to each other? Try by removing the batteries for a few seconds and by blocking the IR receiver from your Xbox One Console so the Series X gets the commands (aim to the button next to the USB port in the front of the console).

    Using PDPgaming Media remote on XBOX Series X console. Remote will not perform HDMI switch when using HDMI-CEC function. XBOX gaming remotes "paired" to console will perform the switch.

    It's because there's no sync button on the new remote, you just have to enable it in the settings. Try doing these steps:

    Turn on the XBOX 360 Slim.

    Go To MY XBOX

    Go To SYSTEM SETTINGS (very last tile)

    Go To CONSOLE SETTINGS

    Go To CONTROLLER SETTINGS

    Click BOTH REMOTES: Enable SELECT BOTH REMOTES TO ENABLE THE XBOX 360 MEDIA REMOTE AND THE WINDOWS MEDIA CENTER REMOTE.

    It should work. :)
