Sync/transfer Minecraft worlds and purchases from iPad to Microsoft account

When i go to my packs in the market place i get this message displayed The title of the "WARNING" that prompts says "Save purchases to a Microsoft Account", with a big button that says "Save to Microsoft Account". Clicking "Save to Microsoft Account" does
nothing, other than sign you into your Microsoft Account. Attempting to contact Mojang and minecraft support on numerous occasions lead me to here as they have been nothing short of useless. Just receive generic emails with links to frequently asked questions.
Done extensive goole searches and i cant find a solution to this problem.

The Full text of the "WARNING":

"Do you want to play with whatever you buy from any Minecraft Store enabled system? Sign in with a FREE Microsoft account and sync your purchased Skins, Textures, Maps, and Mash-ups to use and play in Minecraft!

If you lose your system or uninstall Minecraft, your purchases will still be synced and accessible on any system when you use your Microsoft account."

Button choices are "Save to Microsoft Account" and "Cancel". Selecting "Save to Microsoft Account", I login to my Microsoft account, which contains 0 Minecraft purchases. This means there is no actual sync occurring. If i sign back out
all the worlds and purchases are still there as they are saved to the ipad. If i sign back and try to sync again the purchases are not there. If i go into settings within the app click on storage all the world templates that i have purchased are there but
they have a locked symbol on them and if i click on them to create world it says ive not unlocked that template because i havent purchased it when in fact i have they are just not syncing.

I have purchased over 100 templates for my son on this ipad and it needs to be sent off for repair so i need to make sure all the purchases are saved. Thats a lot of money to loose and my son will be devastated if all his worlds are lost. Please help
as i am at a loss as to what to do, I have had no useful help from minecraft!

Can someone at Microsoft answer this please?

I have the same problem. I am trying to sync iPad packs so they are available when we set up xbox, but now that I've signed in via iPad, it says the packs are locked and that we haven't purchased them yet! Same as OP above.

Minecraft doesn't store the worlds "in the cloud" so that multiple devices can access one world.

If you have a world stored on your iPad, the Switch will NOT automatically have the world, even if you use the same Microsoft Account.

Your son can either "visit" the world on the iPad with the Switch, while the iPad is running Minecraft at that time through Multiplayer.

If you really want to have the world shared across both devices, your only option is to "rent" a realm that you have to pay for in monthly subscription fees.

Or if your son is okay with transferring the world from one device (e.g. iPad to the Switch and only play on the Switch from then on), you could use a free trial for Realms to transfer the world over.

To do that, your son activates a Realm subscription with a free trial on iOS, and uploads the desired world to the Realm service.

Then he connects the Switch to the same Realm, and downloads the world to his Switch.

Then you cancel the Realm subscription via

Did you ever get this resolved? I have the same issue: Purchase made on iOS device. Log into Microsoft account (on ipad via minecraft app) and those purchases are not visible. Log out of account on iPad and purchase is visible again.

The purchases are stored on the device (my daugher's iOS) and I'm trying to get them to transfer to her microsoft account so we don't lose the content/purchases.

Regarding to your information I assume that you have some problems in Minecraft when you linked your Microsoft account to your ps4.

For the world you created before, you can follow these steps to try to transfer the world.

To transfer existing worlds from Minecraft: PS4 Edition to Minecraft:

In Minecraft (Bedrock Version), select the Sync Old Worlds button at the bottom of the worlds list in the Play menu. This finds any worlds on the device from the Minecraft: PS4 Edition and displays them below the button.
Select any of the worlds that are displayed to convert it to the Bedrock edition.
After conversion, the world will show up above the Sync Old Worlds button, along with the rest of your Bedrock worlds.

(Note that worlds that were created on PS3 can no longer be transferred to PS4.)

For the skin you can try to follow these steps and try to sync them.

Characters that were edited and accessorized by using the Dressing Room will sync with your account when you launch Minecraft on another device. For more info about uploading custom skins into your game, see:

Note Some purchased content may not be available on all device

You can access these from any new device, provided you are logged in to the same account. For help with missing purchases, or any Xbox Live account support, please contact Xbox Support.

If you do not have an Xbox Live account associated with your game, then your Marketplace purchases will be tied to the device you used for the purchase. Please be aware, uninstalling the game will permanently delete any purchased coins and content purchased this way. For further billing and installation support, contact your device's app store.
