Sync no longer works after July update on Xbox one x

the sync button no longer works on the console after the july update. It started yesterday and i thought there was something wrong with my controller so i got a NEW one and im still experiencing the same issue. I did a hard reset and a restore which i
regretted because it did not sync after erasing my xbox. Luckily my xbox app on my phone was still connected to my xbox so i was able to finish setting it up. There is no way that the firmware update can be installed as the controller won’t connect. I even
plugged it in using multiple different plugs and the issue still existed. I pretty much cannot use my xbox at all and it is driving me nuts. Anyone else have a solution? I tried everything.

Hi there,

Can you connect your controller via USB, then use you phone to navigate to the firmware update and click on it using your phone please.

This does not work as in order to update the controller it need to be connected to the xbox. I thought it was my controller and i got a whole new one to experience the same issue..Even when i have it plugged in it is still not syncing and the sync button
on my xbox one x is not working at all.

Same here... When you turn on the xbox one x (didnt check if it happens with xbox one s) from the controller, about 5 seconds after that it looses sync to it and wont re-sync until you shut down the controller and turn it on again, tried it on 3 different
consoles with 6 different controllers, all that happened after the last update

After downloading the firmware update, it should work after you sync it to your Xbox 360.

I just got notification of an update for the store on my xbox one x and after updating, it now works!
