    Sync button stuck on XBOX 1S controller!


    So I went to my friend's house with my Xbox 1 S controller and when I tried to connect it, the sync button was like halfway in. If I tried to push it to sync, there would be no click like before. This problem MAY have started before when I heard a weird
    noise in the controller when I shook it. There was a 1 year warranty on my XBOX 1 S and it's still not ended. Can I get this repaired/Replaced for free under warranty or not? Also, is there an easy fix for this or do I have to send it back?

    I can't connect my second controller.

    You have to sync your second controller, via the Xbox One's sync button on the left, and the controller's sync button on the top.

    My controller works fine at home but will not connect at GF house

    You have to push the sync button on the controller (Next to LB bumper) and the sync button on the front of the Xbox 360 at the same time for the controller to sync properly.

    If you know how to get Microsoft to take back a controller, please tell me. I have a malfunctioning controller as well, and have not succeeded in getting them to take it back.

    As for the malfunctioning sync button, it should be easy to see what is wrong if you take the controller apart. [Mod Removed - Please do not share self repair options on the forums] Of course, Microsoft could deny you a return if you open
    the controller, but I am not sure. Proceed with caution.

    Hey there,

    Very sorry to hear that the sync button is stuck pressed in. We do not encourage opening up the Xbox One controller as that would immediately void the warranty. The best route we can offer is setting up a repair on your Xbox One controller on our
    Online Service Center. Be sure that your Xbox One S console is registered there as well!

    ANSWER/FIX:

    I have successfully got a replacement and it's VERY easy. You go to the support then click on the virtual agent (make sure you signed in to your Microsoft account before) and type your problem and keep clicking no. It should say talk to a real person or
    a calling option and you pick the option that you want, tell them the problem and then they take it from there. It takes about 10 days for shipping and support takes about 10-30 min (depending on how many options they give you)

    I think I have found the issue - one of my controllers is broken and the right trigger is stuck on. It's also missing the sync button. Is there any way I can unpair the controller without the sync button?

    Hello, was it an official Xbox controller? IF so if still under warranty it would be repaired through Xbox's warranty by registering the serial number found behind the batteries. If not then you would have to know what that controllers repair policy is.
