Switching Xbox 360 regions (hardware)

I currently have an NTSC 360, it's one the original white ones and I want to upgrade to a slim. I'm in Australia now so all the consoles here are of course PAL, not NTSC. My question is if I bought a PAL console here, would it be a problem if I use this
gamertag on it? This gamertag of course is US too and I've no plans to change this tag's region since I still actively use my US paypal, credit cards and stuff.

Or will I have to import a NTSC slim from the states if I want to keep playing on this tag? I already have all the 360 games I need and don't plan to purchase anymore.

Xbox Live canceled with region switch?

Because if you used a prepaid code they are region locked

Not all subscriptions transfer over

Do you actually live in the USA or Brazil

Switching to regions that you do the live in doesn't work for region locked content like 360 games

You can use your tag on any region console but unless your account,billing & actual location are all the same you will have issues buying things like dlc,digital games etc.

Your disc games wont play on a PAL console

Region locking is software, not hardware, all Xbox 360s regardless of where they were purchased are identical, save for the firmware that runs inside of its DVD drives, and the region of the dashboard software. Microsoft chose to lock the Xbox 360 to its
respective regions. Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do.

the Xbox 360 console is regionally locked, which means that games that are regionally locked too will only work on a console that has the same region.

This is a hardware thing, you will have to purchase games that are for the same region as your console.

Other than buying a copy of the game for the correct region of your xbox 360 there is nothing you can do.

The xbox 360 is region locked so if your console is a PAL region console then you need the PAL region version of the game,same for any other region consoles.

The games region & console region must match.The only exception is if a game is region free.

Changing the region on the console or your billing address wont do anything as it's a software/hardware setting which can not be changed.
