    Switching XBL from 360 to ONE


    My XBL account renews in three days. Since I now have a XB1, how does the account work for allowing my whole family to use my XBL account? I already have my spouse and son in my family, and my son received a 3month XBL membership. Do I have him use that
    or do I add it to my account and extend the renewal date by three months?

    Any help is appreciated - thanks in advance.

    Are you trying to make a new profile? You can use the same profile on both the 360 and One.

    Switching XBL from 360 to ONE

    On Xbox One, you set your console as your Home Xbox (in Settings>My Console) and then all other accounts on your console will have full access to your games (even offline) and they get all the benefits of your Gold account. You do not need to also add them
    to a family, it will work with every account on the console - even visiting friends who download their profile to your console for just a day.

    As long as your son also sets the family Xbox One console as his Home Xbox, everyone will benefit from the Gold status if he adds the code to his own profile.

    Yeah, I'll pass.

    Well, in fairness the Xbox didn't have any actual content on XBL back then. You can still power up the console and play games today if you want to. As for the 360, the user base on XBL is too large to just shutdown that huge revenue stream in one shot.
    They will let it trickle out as gamers switch to the One.

    I switched from 360 to one.

    DLC transfer overs are all up to the developers of the game any legal threats are not advised in any situation and posting the date of birth in a public forum isn't recommend.

    Head over to activision support and work it out with them and see what you can do about rank and DLC recovery.
