Switching Microsoft primary account to a newly created account

Hi there, the link to the error code seems dead. However looking at other forums seems to suggest the following:

1. Create a new Microsoft account (account#3).

2. Logon to the XBOX as the primary account (account#1). Switch the profile to the newly created account#3 from my primary account (account#1)

3. Logon to the XBOX as account#2 and switch this profile to my primary Microsoft account (account#1).

I'm I in the right park here? Also forums seem to suggest that you have to wait 30 days to be allowed to switch accounts, is this the case?

At the same time, you can not play the same account on two consoles.
Create another account and share your primary account with the newly created account.

As noted by XBF Ezra G above then, you'd need to create a new account to avoid this problem then. If the email used by the account currently is a Microsoft account, then it cannot be switched without altering the primary use of the email.

Wouldn't this just recover the newly created Microsoft account?

you can try to move the newly created (or old) account to a new Microsoft Account, like mentioned here:

support.xbox.com/.../switch-gamertag-to-different-microsoft-account

That might solve the problem
