Switching Gameryag to a different email account

When we first set up the Xbox for my son, my email was used and his gamertag was created and attached to said account. He was 8 at the time and had no email or phone to attach to his own account. I now have added him to the family with his own email and
would like to attach his gamertag to his email. For the sole purpose of parental and screen time controls. How do i do this? Please help. Thanks!

Wait. I misunderstood. This will change the email address on your account. There is no way to transfer ownership of an Xbox account which is basically what you are asking. It is a part of your account and was the instant it was created using your Microsoft
account. Unfortunately he will need to create his own Gamertag. He can still use the game's and gold subscription you have using the home console feature. But any game saves will remain on your account. I hope this helps.

Hi there, if you have two gamertags associated with the same email you will need to sign in as one of the gamertags on the Xbox and switch it to a different Microsoft Account (email) using the steps here:
