Switching from disc to online games

Sorry i didnt mention it but when i had my scratched disc inside and the game was installed it would work. But then i uninstalled it and tried to reinstall and it didnt work.

All saved game data as long as you were connected to the internet is saved to the cloud even if you buy the deluxe version.

When you say you are trying to reinstall it are you trying to do this with the disc that is scratched up or are you trying to do this with a digital copy that you bought? What is happening that you say that it is not installing?

If you are using a disc put the disc in the machine and go to the store and try and find the game if it can read at least the license off the disc then it should allow you to download and install the game from the store just like if you had bought it digitally
and then you would still have to have the disc in the console so that it can read the license off the disc to play it.

Your data is all tied to your gamertag and kept in the cloud. You will be able to go from Disk to digital with No problems there. Plus the different versions of the game usually just have to do with DLC. They are the same base game so your saves will
still work there just fine.

The only time it might be an issue is if you go from the Deluxe Disk version to the standard Digital. Most of the time the DLC included with the Deluxe version will be with Codes. If that is the case then no problem, but there are some instances were the
the extra content might be on the disk. In that case you would might have a compatibility issue because your save might require the DLC. This is not a common thing, but something to think about.

What troubleshooting have you done to try and get the game to install?

The savefile would carry over. Have no worrys about that. If the digital version wont download try a power cycle. Hope that helps.
