Switching emails

I'm trying to switch the email on my xbox profile from my mom's email to mine. I'm wondering, do my games and info get deleted if I switch emails? Also, what happens to my mom's microsoft account if I add my alias and delete hers from the profile?

Hey there, here are the instructions to
transfer your gamertag to another Microsoft Account.

Sign in using your Xbox LIVE gamertag.

Go to Settings and select Account.

Scroll right to Your Information and select Account Security.

Select Microsoft account (Your Microsoft account is your Windows Live ID.)

Do one of the following:

If you already have another Microsoft account, select Yes.

If you don't have another Microsoft account, go to accounts.live.com and click Sign up. After you have another Microsoft account set up, select Yes and continue with the next step.

Enter the password for the Microsoft account that is currently associated with your gamertag and select Sign in.

Enter the email address and the password for the new Microsoft account that you want to associate with your gamertag, and then select Sign in.

Select Yes, change to change the Microsoft account associated with your Xbox LIVE account.

Select Update Contact Information to update your contact information or Done to finish.

if you add your alias and remove your mums then it will still be your mums account but you would have just deleted her email.

you cannot transfer anything from account to another account. you cannot really transfer ownership either.

you will need to creat your own account and then have your mums account on the xbox and set as home so your new account can access the games, but you will have to start over.

Hello,

When you say that it needs to be verified where are you getting the message that it needs to be verified?

When you sign in at account.microsoft.com

If it is here the box that pops up that says you need to verify the email address there should be a link there that says to change how you sign into your account that you can click on and it will allow you to change the email address for the account.

Keep in mind if the email you are going to change it to is already a MS account you will need to either create a new MS account email because you will not be able to use that one since it is already a MS account.
