Switching child account from an alias account to main account

My eldest lad has his own 360 with his younger brother, and when I first made his account LIVE, I didn't realize that you could use 'other account' to put in your own account from another 360/One into their info to attach it to the family of the new machine.
(Just did this with his younger brother's account last night) and instead I made an alias account on their 360 about a year ago.

This alias account is attached to my main account via my Windows account, but stands on its own on LIVE, so even though I have transferred both their accounts onto my xbox one last night (so we can play four player Diablo 3 with their mother) only the younger
brother joined the family.

What I need to know is there a way to transfer parental control from the alias account to my main account, or can I remove the eldest lad from the alias account, and then have the main account use 'other account' to attach on to his account as a new parent
on the 360?

Unable to add son to xbox one

As above,

Select child
Sign in as parent
get to the 50c card authorisation, add card details
Then get card already exists on account - go through screens - again!!

Then after about 10 minutes updating account it fails with code 45468.7036976521340.5055251569016685

Go to xbox errorhelp - can't find it

Can anybody help please we are pulling our hair out on this

Just to say the card is on account from xbox and also Microsoft accounts linked to the parents account!

Converting main account to Child account

My two sons have been playing xbox on my account, sharing the account, and playing the same games. I now need more control over how long they game and have created two child accounts. Problem is they say they will lose all the gameplay/levels/skins they
have bought (I have bought!) if they use these new accounts. Is there a way to transfer the gameplay/levels etc to these child accounts? Or possibly create another account for myself and convert my account to a child account, then at least only one will moan.

This doesn't work, I've tried it. My children's accounts are already setup that way as Family members in my account and on the Xbox console.

As far as I can see, there is no parental control setting to prevent a user from switching away of their account. You can only set PINs to guard someone switching into a particular account. In order for the games library from the main account to be shared with the child accounts, that main account must be logged in, which means it cant be guarded with a PIN to prevent switching to it.

I've also tried setting having no login PIN on the main account but setting the content restriction so that if the child switches to the main account they'd have to use a PIN in order to open or play anything. That doesn't work because the content restrictions from all logged in accounts are enforced for any account, so if my child tries to open a game they are allowed to play on their account, it requires the PIN from the main account because the main account has lower content restrictions.

I haven't done this myself, but a MS account does use alias (emails) and you can link more alias to any account, go to https://account.microsoft.com/profile/ to manage you accoount alias, you can specify a main alias for an account there, but I'm not sure
if you have to remove the email address from the old account in order to do so.

No generally the main account security is supposed to be the parent not a child and access to the main account is the responsibility of the parent you can add a passcode to prevent people from signing on your main account

The Switch does not allow this - it only asks to link your Microsoft account. When you do this, it defaults to the main parent account automatically and there is no option to change it to the child account, either at time of linking or within the Switch console settings.

And, because the Switch does not show up as a device within my Microsoft account, there is no way to change it here either.
