Switching between Xbox Headset and Turtle Beach Stealth 500x

Hello,

I am unable to switch from my Turtle Beach Stealth 500x back to the Xbox Chat headset successfully. When I unplug the Turtle beach setup from the Xbox One and plug in the Xbox headset, I can only hear chat, but no one can hear me and the bubble in the party
next to my names does not light up.

I have contacted 1-800-4My-Xbox and they have been unsuccessful in resolving this issue with me and i am basically being told good luck.

Trouble shooting steps taken: Made sure controllers firmware was up to date, purchased a new xbox chat headset(same issue), power cycled xbox one, removed and reassociated profile to xbox, removed alternate MAC address, made sure NAT was Open, reset modem
anyways, check audio settings and made sure they were all on stereo uncompressed.

It is extremely frustrating to not be able to use the Xbox chat headset for my volume awareness is not great when I have the Turtle Beach headset on and my wife gets angry with me lol.

Now I have a theory that it is somehow because of the notification that pops up saying Headset Assigned when the console is powered on and the Turtle Beachs are plugged in. I feel they are taking priority to the chat audio.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Xbox one wireless headset

The Turtle Beach Stealth 500X headset is out/out very soon. It's pricey though.

 

SERIOUSLY?! Not a single wireless headset for xbox one??

There has been a fully wireless headset out for a month, the Turtle Beach Stealth 500X, they are expensive but if it's fully wireless you're after

To make sure, does the headset work after a fresh power cycle? If you haven't tried that before switching headsets, hold down the power button for 8-10 seconds, unplug your Turtle Beach, and then plug in your new headset. If you've already tried this, have
you possibly tested a different controller with your Xbox Headset?

I notice that you're part of the Xbox One Preview Program. Please make sure to leave feedback for the Preview Program directly from your Xbox One console using the option that appears when you long press the Xbox button on your controllers. In addition,
head on over to the
Preview Program forums and be sure to post there for additional support.

In the meantime, next time you try switching from your Turtle Beach 500x to your Xbox One headset, try turning off your Xbox One controller and then reconnecting it once you have swapped out headsets and see if that helps resolve the issue.
