Switching between Games and TV

My Xbox One, no longer lets me continue from where i left a game if i switch to tv. For example, say im paying fifa and im in the midde of a game, then i switch to TV for an hour or so. When i go back to play fifa, the game resets to the title screen and
i lose whatever game i was playing. My xbox used to just pick up from where i left it. Does anyone know if there is a certain setting my xbox needs to be on? Or if there is a time limit on when i need to switch back to the game before it resets?

Im not sure if ive done something to the settings by accident? or if anyone esle is experiencing the same problem?

X1 what are you looking fwd to the most?

Voice switching between game/netflix/tv. I find changing inputs and hunting for remotes REALLY annoying.

 

XB1 first 3 hours.

Totally agree with you saber been playing for 3 and half hours and this is something else. Switching and snaping between games and tv is awesome.

 

Yup same thing has started happening to me! It used to work fine for the first few weeks after I got my console, but then suddenly the game would just quit if I switched to TV or the Media centre.

sounds like a RAM shortage which is strange as the RAM is fixed! the only thing I can think is that one of the system updates caused this problem.

Any solutions would be greatly appreciated, as I've been forced to disconnect my satellite box from the Xbox. And even then, every time I watch something on the Media Centre it causes the game to quit.
