Switching accounts/Gamertags doesn't show up in games

So when you launch a game, the console shows that your gamertag (your Xbox profile) is playing the game, not your daughter's, right?

In this case, please try to remove and add her account from the console, performing a power reset in-between:

Remove Account:

1. Press the Xbox button. ​​​

2. Select System > Settings > Account > Remove accounts. ​​​

3. Select the account that you want to remove, and then Remove. ​​​

4. Close. ​​​

Power Reset:

1​​. Turn off your console and your router/modem.

2. Unplug all the cables from both devices (power, HDMI, etc..) and wait 2 minutes.

3. After 2 minutes, plug all the cables in again on your router/modem and wait for all the lights to show up.

​​​4. Plug all the cables on your console and turn it on.

Add Account:

1. Press the Xbox button.

2. Select Profile & System > Add or switch > Add new.

3. Enter the email address and password for the Microsoft account that you want to add.

4. Read the Microsoft Service Agreement and Privacy Statement, and select I Accept.

5. Follow the steps to configure your Sign-In & Security preferences.

After that, please make sure her profile is signed in to the console before starting a game and let me know how it goes, please.

Once I switched my gamertag to the new account the zune info took care of itself and showed up on my Surface. So, just switching my gamertag to my account that I used to log into my Surface the Xbox games and Xbox music populated accordingly on the Surface

Hi, when you sign into the xbox change the email on the gamertag that comes up then hopefully when you recover your account again using the same email the second gamertag should show up.

Hey there, as long as you can still sign-in one of the gamertags on the Xbox you should be able to change the email associated with the account following the steps here:

If you associate the randomly generated gamertags with another email their original gamertag should show up under their original email.
