    Switching a redeemed game code to another profile on same machine


    Hi all,

    On my daughters Xbox One I set up my profile and her profile, but i redeemed the Minecraft code against my profile instead of hers, so whenever she want to play it i have to put in my username and password and also it will be under my profile when she plays
    it.

    Is there a way to switch this over?

    Ok im currently staying with my girlfriend for a few weeks and brought Borderlands 2, I wanna put in the code for the extra content but will I get it on my console at home aswell if I put it on hers? (Same xbox live gold account for both consoles)

    Anything purchased or code redeemed on your account, will stay with it. So yes, if you put in the code for the extra content. You can go back to your own console and redownload it

    No.Nothing can be transferred between accounts.

    You can try contacting support
    here     & they might be able to sort something out but don't get your hopes up.

    Thanks for the reply, i think i have fixed this by setting my xbox to home and allowing her to have instant sign in seems to work ok now. I'll try the contact anyway as it would just be neater.

    Hi hazedesunna,

    The code will work on both consoles, however the console that you redeem it on will have access to the content online and offline. The other console will only have access to the content when connected to Xbox LIVE. That is how the DRM (digital rights management)
    system works in regards to codes.

    If you need to download the content on another Xbox 360 you just need to sign into the account that purchased/redeemed the content and go to Settings > Account > and then Download History. Find the download and press A to re-download.
