Switch Xbox Account Emails

Unfortunately this is not possible and since your email is a Microsoft email (Live, Hotmail or Outlook) you can't switch the email to another one and have the account not be connected to that email anymore, technically.

You can switch the login emails around but you CAN'T switch TO a Microsoft email when you do this (Live, Hotmail or Outlook). You can switch to another email provider but you can't switch between Microsoft emails as they're permanently connected to that
account they were created on. For example, you can't switch this account's email login to another Microsoft account because that email is attached to a Microsoft account already.

The only solution is to start over and have him create a new account and have the account that owns all the games to be set as the my home xbox account on the xbox one so that the new account can play all the games that account owns BUT the saves and any
progress will not move over and some DLC will not share, also.

I'm sorry to tell you that joining two email accounts is impossible.

What you can do is link one account to another so that emails reach your primary account, but only that. Emails reaching the secondary account also reach the primary account. (Which would generate a duplicate of messages if you use both accounts in an
application like mobile Outlook)

• Each account is individual and each has its own Gamertag.

This is almost the exact response MS tech support gave me, hence why I am now posting here.

Go to settings and select Account.

Scroll right to Your Information and select Account Security.

Select Microsoft account (Your Windows Live ID is your Microsoft account.)

Do one of the following:

If you already have another Microsoft account, select Yes.

If you don't have another Microsoft account, go to accounts.live.com and click Sign up. After you have another Microsoft account set up, select Yes and continue with the next step.

Enter the password for the Microsoft account that is currently associated with your gamertag and select Sign in.

Enter the email address and the password for the new Microsoft account that you want to associate with your gamertag, and then select Sign in.

Select Yes, change to change the Microsoft account associated with your Xbox Live account.

Select Update Contact Information to update your contact information or Done to finish.

• You want to add or remove an email address or phone number.
• You want to use a different email address or phone number to sign in.
• You want a different username to appear on your Windows 10 devices.
• You want an email address you can give to other companies or other people that can't be used to sign in to your account or access your info.
