Switch my Xbox Live profile to a different Microsoft Live Account?

Hello,

I have been going in circles between Microsoft Live Support and Xbox Live Support for the past week trying to get my Xbox Live account moved to my Main Windows Live ID.

Just so I am clear, here is my problems along with the steps I have already taken to try to resolve this issue:

• I have a Microsoft Live ID that I currently use as my MAIN login for both Windows 8.1 on my desktop pc and a Windows 8.1 Cellphone

• I have a second Microsoft Live ID that holds ONLY my Xbox Live Account
  
  [*]I want to be able to use account [A] for all 3 purposes (Login for Desktop PC, Login for Windows Phone, Login for Xbox Live Account)
  
  

I have contacted support for both Microsoft Live, and Xbox Live and each point their finger to the other saying it is not their department's responsibility to handle this issue. Xbox Live Support
did say that this was resolvable, but only by switching the linked account on an Xbox 360 console. For some reason, every customer service representative that I spoke with had an extremely hard time understanding that
I do not have an Xbox 360, I do not have any friends or family members that have one available to use, and I'm pretty sure the my neighbors (some of which I have never met) couldn't care less about my Xbox Live problems.
I have a PC, Phone, and Xbox One.

I have tried removing the email address that I currently use to login to my xbox live account from Account
and adding it as an alias into account [A], but the Xbox Live account remains linked with the "new" primary alias that replaced the one I moved from
.

Lastly, in my efforts to try to resolve this problem, I have somehow created an Xbox Live account for account [A]. The last representative I spoke with decided to completely ignore that I even mentioned that I want this account deleted, so I guess I will
add it to this list. Please Assist.

You can transfer your Xbox Live profile onto another Microsoft Account with this guide:

I can understand that this is annoying and not the best experience with the customer support.

But unfortunately, they are right At the moment there is no way to transfer your gamertag to another live id without using a 360. I think that microsoft is aware of this problem and hopefully will provide us a solution on this asap.

To explain what you have already done and why it did not work: unfortunately you just added the primary email address of as new primary email address to [A] but that doesn't merge the accounts or transfers the gamertag. It just changes the primary email
address and so the login for each of the accounts. Nothing more. By this you should also have changed the primary email address of to a new email address.

If I understand you right, you also have created a new further live ID [C] and want to delete this? This can be done easily at
http://account.live.com But only if you are sure not to need it anymore. If this account is the new primary alias of by the meaning of holding it's new email primary address you would lose access to
by deleting it. So please be careful.

The only way to have the accounts "merged" is to delete [A] and have the login credentials configured as primary email address at . But by this you would lose any subscriptions or contents bounded to [A] like f. e. One Drive data or phone backups. For
example all my mcp certifications are bounded to one of my live accounts, so if I would delete this one, I would lose my certifications, too. So be very careful with such stuff. I would NOT recommend it in your case!

So unfortunately the only thing you can do is wait for Microsoft to have this fixed by introducing the possibility to transfer gamertags to other live accounts like it is possible on the 360. Maybe an issue you can suggest or vote for on
