Switch between monitors

I am kinda new to the whole techie thing and I'm not really sure how to phrase this so here goes. Is there a way to setup my Xbox one to play on separate monitors? Not simultaneously but have the ability to use it on different screens without moving it's
physical location? My son has it setup to play at his computer area and there are times when i would like to play it on my big screen. They are in the same room so accessibility isn't an issue.

Xbox One to TV without HDMI input

I think there is no other option than HDMI cable. Or you can try to use switch from Old monitors with the DVI output to HDMI.

After Connecting to a receiver XBOX 360 will not work with some TVs

I have reset the display settings several times with no luck. I have tested the reset display settings on several different monitors and it works properly.

The key here is there is some form of setting that is locked between the monitor and the xbox as this problem only exists between the xbox and monitors tha at one time were hooked up to the xbox viz the Yamaha receiver.

Depending on distance you could hook up a HDMI cable from the Xbox One to the TV. To make it even easier you could buy a HDMI switch and plug the console into that with one cable running to the computer monitor and another to the big screen. Then you could
switch with a single button press. Would buy a switch that is HDCP High Definition Content Protection compliant.

Image quality could be effected if things like resolution and color settings need to be changed when switching between screens though.

And yes, the monitor does have speakers. The PC monitor I have switches between "PC Mode" and "HDMI-in" mode. Video works, but no sound.

I play on a 24” benq pc monitor, switch between xbox gaming straight to PC.

Locate the buttons on your monitor. Many monitors have a button labeled "Input" or "Source" that you can use to switch between different input sources. You may also find buttons for navigating up, down, left, and right, and a button for making selections.

Press the input button on your monitor to cycle through the available input sources. When you see the input source you want to use (e.g., HDMI), select it.

If your monitor does not have built-in controls, or if you prefer to use your keyboard, you can use the following keyboard shortcuts to switch between input sources:

Windows Key + P: This will bring up a screen with options for changing the display configuration. Select "Duplicate", "Extend", or "Second screen only" to switch between input sources.

Windows Key + Ctrl + F4: This will switch between display configurations. For example, if you have two monitors connected to your PC and you are using both of them, this keyboard shortcut will allow you to switch between using just one of the monitors or using both of them.

You should consult your monitor's user guide. Whatever the monitor would default to will be its source, Generally, I would say that whatever signal is received first will be used by the monitor. For me, if I have two sources turned on (DVI and VGA), the
monitor will read whatever signal it received first. If I want the other signal, I manually change the input from the monitor's controls, or turn off the current source. Your monitors should have the ability to manually switch between inputs.
