Discus and support Switch Adult Account to Child in XBoX Accessibility to solve the problem; We accidentally allowed child to set up an adult account.     Switch Adult Account to Child


    We accidentally allowed child to set up an adult account. Is there any way to provide some verification to get this switched to a child account? I'm so sick of trying to find a way around this. I have added him to my "family" under my account but he
    is still an adult and I can't change anything on his account. I also can't change his age. This is incredibly frustrating because I don't want to have to remove his account and have him lose his entire history.

    Hello,

    My xbox account was created one or two years ago, when I wasn't adult yet (so it was created as an child account).

    But now, I'm adult and I would like to switch to an adult account, how can I do that ?

    Hey Gal thanks for taking the time to bring this issue to us!

    Unfortunately if the account is set up as an adult there isn't a setting to change to revert it to a minor account, we understand how frustrating this can be and the best bet would be to set up a

    passkey     (to prevent purchases). This would be the best bet to prevent any unwanted purchases but that's about it. Give it a shot and let us know if we can further assist in this or any other issues or concerns!

    This isn't really the issue. I want to be able to set screen times and limitations.

    Unfortunately as previously stated, it isn't possible, the best bet would then be to make a new

    Microsoft Account     for him. Hope this helps!

    I am having the same issue. I need to switch my account that my son has been using to a child account to limit his time. Either that or find a way to switch his game progress & money to his child account.
    There is no way to demote an adult account to a child account and there is no way to transfer progress and currency to another account.
