Swirly lines on tv screen when using xbox one x

Can anyone help regarding blue/red/green blotches on screen.

THis only happens when watching through xbox or playing games and also on home screen.

Unplugging the hdmi cable seems to temporarily fix it but this isn't ideal.

My xbox one x is only a month old as is the tv.

Horizontal lines appearing on screen for a second once every few minutes

hi guys I’m having an issue with my new Xbox one x. There are horizontal lines appearing on the screen for a second once every minute or two. Don’t think it’s my tv as my Tv works fine when not using the Xbox/when I connect other devices through the same

4k problem

When I switch my xbox one x to 4k my tv goes into the mode but the tv begins to go in and out of a black screen. Ive read xbox one x only supports 10 bit panel tvs if this is true. My tv is an 8 bit.

Hi Colid,

Thanks for your post! If the Xbox is having issues with displaying image try switching the HDMI cable for another and testing the picture with another TV/Monitor. Check out this article for more troubleshooting options:

Thanks for the suggestion.

Unfortunately I still have the same problem. I have tried different HDMI cables but the problem persists.

I'm guessing its an Xbox fault or a setting fault as the problem never arises when watching normal TV.

It only happens when watching on One guide or playing a game.

What I don't understand is that if I unplug the HDMI cable for a second or 2 it fixes the problem for a while.

Is there a way I can attach photo's?

Are those lines only there when the Xbox is on or even when using it for other purposes? I have had TV screens go bad and they get vertical lines is why I am asking. I only had one TV ever have horizontal lines but in those cases it was related to the
TV as it happened no matter what I hooked up? Also, have you check your HDMI cable lately?

I get this too. It is completely normal. What is happening is the TV is also going into a power saving (and screen saving mode which prevents burn in). Once you start using you Xbox again it should return to normal. The TV recognizes that its not
being used even though the images on screen are changing. This is normal and nothing to be concerned with. You may be able to turn it off by shutting off your TV's energy savings functions.

What TV do you have?
It is the same one as I - a Samsung Q6F QLED?

The TV is actually not going into a power saving mode because that feature on the TV is not enabled.

It''s the Xbox One X that is dimming (set to dim after 2 minutes) and when the Popup Notifications appears on the right side, is when you notice the vertical horizontal lines scrolling very slowly left to right on the left side of the screen which has a
dark fixed non-moving background.
