Swear Filter OFF

It is not about the game. In age of empires u can play via steam and via xbox live: profanity filter is just on the latter, and it s avout microsoft absurd purithanity

But please, it is 2020 and people get offended for words still? Racist speech must be condemned (maybe with bans, much more better) but single words dont contain evil. We cannot go back in medieval times with censore. If i wanna insult my friends on a
private chat on a game for JOKE i pretend freedom to do that, and if i do on a public chat i ACCEPT consequencies and ban. Simple no?

We have to keep in mind that the multiplayer games that we play are not just with people in our immediate family, but span players from around the world, all with different personalities\religions\ethnicities etc

What may be a common saying in one part of the world (or light banter ) may be extremely culturally inappropriate to other part, and we are trying to promote a service where everyone feels welcome and safe.

it is political correctness gone mad and pandering to snowflakes unfortunately, i say if your in an 18 games then all should be allowed as kids should not be on 18 games anyway. but for some reason microsoft allows children to play and play online with
18 rated games.

I'm sorry to say but you probably won't be able to turn it off. Most games just don't like people using profanity.
