Swapping parent and child accounts

Sorry to hear about the profile issue. Unfortunately there is no way to transfer information from one account to another. On the other hand if one of the games is Fortnite and he hasn't created epic account. You can have him log into the epic account he
had on your account and see if them items are there. If he already has an epic account here is a link to

unlink the account from the fortnite help.

Are you going to be using the same email account when you swap to the child account?

A way around this is that you can change the age of the MS account to 10 years old, then add parental controls.

Parent and child accounts on Xbox are designed to help parents manage their children’s gaming activities. A parent account is the primary account that can create and manage child accounts. Child accounts are created for children under the age of 18 and are linked to the parent account. The parent account can set up parental controls, such as screen time limits, content restrictions, and spending limits, for each child account.

You cannot change your account to be a child account. You will have to create a new account for your child.

To create a child account, the parent account must first create a family group. The family group can have up to six members, including the parent account. Once the family group is created, the parent account can add a child account to the group. The child account will be linked to the parent account and will have access to the parent account’s Xbox Live Gold subscription and other benefits.

Hey there Al! I'm sorry, but the information you were provided doesn't seem proper to me. You can only swap a child account between two parents if you are able to log into the first parent and remove the child, at which point you could just log in and accept
the new Terms.

Unfortunately we here on the Forums are unable to swap or recover accounts for you; that is something that only our phone support folks could manage. I'd recommend contacting them again, telling them you simply forgot the information for your father's account,
and see if they can help you recover it using his personal information. Please let us know how that goes, thanks!

You can remove a child by either promoting it (over 17) from the child account's Account Management, or by removing the parent/child relationship entirely from the parent account.
