Swapping Gamer Tags ???

I have a microsoft account that my son has a gamer profile on, how do i swap the gamer tag off my account onto his microsoft account ?

Swapping Gamer-tag

You would each have to pay to change the gamertags you have now to free them up then pay again to change them to the one you want.

You would first have to pay to change the gamertag on your account to something else in order to free up the gamertag for use on your sons account. (it may still take up to 24 hours for the gamertag to become available again once you change it)

Once the gamertag becomes available again after changing it you would then need to sign into your sons account and pay to change its gamertag to the one you want.

Keep in mind that the suggestion by KindGryphon here will only release the gamertag (and we can't promise that the gamertag won't get locked or taken by someone else) and this will not transfer any game licenses or save files as those are tied to the Microsoft

Yes it is possible, but you would need to pay twice, once for each account. (One for th dummy account and once for the main account).
