Swapping game tags from one email to the other

Hi I want to change my email address for my xbox one live account, but the email I want to use already has an xbox account. Is there a way to delete the account from the email I want to use or switch them in any way on here or xbox one?

Swapping Gamer Tags ???

You would first have to pay to change the gamertag on your account to something else in order to free up the gamertag for use on your sons account. (it may still take up to 24 hours for the gamertag to become available again once you change it)

Once the gamertag becomes available again after changing it you would then need to sign into your sons account and pay to change its gamertag to the one you want.

Keep in mind that the suggestion by KindGryphon here will only release the gamertag (and we can't promise that the gamertag won't get locked or taken by someone else) and this will not transfer any game licenses or save files as those are tied to the Microsoft

You'll need to create a dummy email address to change on the account that has the address you want to use. You can then switch the gamertag to the freed up email address.
