Swapped region in order to use Prepaid Code, funds are missing, help!

Hi! Yesterday i bought a 25€ code in order to renew my xbox live. I knew from the beggining i would have to change my region to a region that uses euro, in order to use the 25€. Said and done, i swapped to Ireland, added the code and then it said my microsoft
account was credited.

Then i wanted to add my creditcard wich i can only do through my real region because of the postalcode and such. After that i swapped back to ireland and then my funds are gone. It sais in the faq about chaning regions; The currency will not move with you,
so be sure to spend it. It says it will not move yes? As if it would stay in the same region as i added it?

The case is i added 25€, swapped regions and back and now i have no funds. I spoke with the live chat and she told me to write a topic here so the enforcement team can help me.

two things first prepaid membership codes are region specificspecific so you can't use out of region codes

2nd Romania isn't an xbox live region

Currency does not transfer with regions. In order to use the funds on your account, you would have to migrate back to your original region.

I don't see why this would be an issue for the Enforcement Team. No one on these forums can help. There is nothing anyone on these forums can do to resolve this. You do know there is a few month timeout period before you're able to change your region back
right? So I wonder why it was letting you do so.

You will have to get back in chat and tell them it isn't an Enforcement issue unless you were stated otherwise either through a suspension or notification of some form that you have had your funds taken from you.

The way you're explaining things suggests that you didn't actually change the region the way you are supposed to. Please follow the steps at the link below to do so.

support.xbox.com/.../change-region

However, be aware that you cannot change your account back to your region for 3 months after changing it. Also, there is a risk that you may not be able to download items purchased from a different region than where you live due to IP issues.

 

That is why you don't use out of region codes yes you need to spend currency before you use region migration

Why would you use an out of region code or even buy one

Most services don't allow out of region codes for good reason taxes and they are not in the business to deal with exchange rates

 

Also currency cards can't be used on membership it never was allowed and any service that uses prepaid cards and subscription services don't allow it either

If you want to go pay as you go you must use prepaid membership cards from your region

Currency cards can only be used for ea access memberships Xbox music memberships or any third party memberships within Xbox since they have their own billing method and no prepaid cards yet

Ea pass maybe when they finally release ea pass publically

 

Hi everyone. I'll start from the beginning. I live i Sweden, and i had 0 funds on my Credit card. Xbox would not let me use my card for the "Free 1 month trial" since i have no funds on the card. So my next deciscion was, A; Wait until i get funds on my
creditcard B; Use my bitcoins to buy a code.

I choose B. I read that i would have to change my region in order to use my 25€ since the currency in Sweden is in SEK. I changed to Ireland, and i entered the code. Succesfully i was credited 25€. Then i wanted to change my region again to try to add my
credit card for the free month an when that didnt work, i changed back to Ireland again. However, now the funds are missing. I dont really care what you think about me buying another regions code or what ever, i simply just want to know where are the funds
now?

Im on IRELAND region, exactly where i got credited my 25€, however now they are gone. Can't see them anywhere, nor in the transaction/billing logs. Thats where the problem is. I dont give a *** if i cant use them for what i wanted, i just want my money so
i can use them somewhere here on microsoft.

 

If you're account is still set to Ireland, try checking
http://commerce.microsoft.com to see if they show there. The only way they wouldn't show is if you had switched back to Sweden. If they are still not there, you will need to contact support.

Also, FYI, it's not possible to purchase gold using money from your Microsoft account.
