Sustainability, hypocrisy and legacy USB joysticks on Xbox series S console

This isn't 'Legacy hardware' It's a rather old PC Only controller released during the Windows XP era.

I fail to see how this can be hypercritical when this isn't even a controller made by Microsoft and was not designed to work on consoles, anyway. It's an old Logitech PC controller.

Thanks for the reply. Please research the meaning of the word "sustainability". The manufacturer/brand of legacy USB hardware is irrelevant. My Xbox series S has 2 x USB ports on it. Microsoft has stated that their mission and vision is to be "sustainable". By NOT supporting legacy USB joysticks, Microsoft is hypocritical and falsely advertising. Being a "Xbox Ambassador", I would hope you would support and represent the community, not just Microsoft. Please stop for one minute and think about the quantity of USB legacy joysticks that have been purchased over the years and are now unusable on the latest Xbox consoles. That is most definitely NOT sustainability. Come on Microsoft, lift your game and act "sustainable". You can do better. You could even translate the "extra functionality" into increased sales of the console. Alternatively, please STOP preaching "sustainability".

It doesn't make sense for me to get the Adaptive Controller to use my Logitech Extreme 3D joystick. Why not just use it on the XBox Series S console via one of the USB inputs??

In this case I could use my Joystick as usual and had the voice from the PC Speaker!

My "Logitech Extreme 3D" joystick has been running flawlessly so far, even with other games connected to a PC.

My question was, can or must I connect my joystick directly to the XBox Series s console or the Standard XBox Controller instead of to a PC, since there are 2 USB inputs on the console? and there is 1 USB-C input on the controller?

The game (here: Flight Simulator 2022) does not show the joystick in the settings when I use one of the inputs on the console. I would like to play the game on the PC, so I don't think I need this "Adaptive Controller".
