Suspension

My son was suspended on 10/31/17 due to reasons of "harassment, terroristic threats. His suspension was supposed to be lifted 11/12/17 His Gamer tag is . I have tried finding out what actually took place but have not received any information.
He was able to sign into Xbox Live today but is unable to speak or send messages. In speaking with Zyrill N. he told me this:

Upon checking it here, your son's xbox live has been suspended starting Oct 31, 2017 and will end on Feb 8, 2018 which means that on his previous suspension, our system detected that he violated our terms of use and that made his suspension extended.

How could he possibly violate the terms of his suspension if he couldn't sign into xbox? This really seems unfair and very harsh to be suspended til Feb 2018. . What happens if whoever reported him was lying??

I have also been receiving emails that purchases cannot go thru because my credit card could not be authorized. He has not been purchasing anything. Is it possible someone is using our account?

I would really appreciate concrete information on why this has happened to my son.

Meaningless Suspension

Meh, 99.9% of the time suspensions are given because you HAVE done something wrong. I've rarely seen the enforcement team get it wrong.

Only an enforcement team member can respond to any suspensions they issue and they do not use the forums any longer.

Have you submitted a case review on the enforcement site yet to get further details?

With regards to purchases not going through, have you checked your account an make sure nothing is set for auto renew that isn't going through. You can check
here.



If you think the account could be compromised,
contact support directly and open an unauthorized account access ticket so they can investigate.

They don't detail why you are suspended. They also don't have any contact information. They are suppose to have a review button but it only shows after you've been suspended for 24 hours. I think they suspend players during times when they need more
space (during the holidays). They suspended my son for 24 hours for language. I monitor his playing and he can't communicate on his device. The Xbox and all other devices were not available during the time and date of the infraction. I contacted 5 different
customer support people and they couldn't give me any contact information for Enforcement. I cancelled my Xbox live subscription. That is no way to treat their customers.
