Suspension Query

HELP - my daughter received an e-mail telling her that her X-Box Live account is permanently suspended. She's only 14 and doesn't know what she has done wrong. I have spoken to Microsoft HelpLine and they suggested I posted on here as I cannot appear
to contact anyone from Enforcement. Helpline have looked at account and cannot see anything wrong. Can anyone help. This is what it says when you log onto her account.

Xbox live Suspension Query

Microsoft xboxlive account suspended. Did case review, which was upheld for 'cheating', but no clue as to what that really means. Is there any way to find out more specific details, as am concerned that not knowing what this 'cheating' refers to may lead to it happening again, and a permanent ban.

(Note. Haven't used any mods, or been on any modded lobbies).

Would genuinely love to. Just need to know what 'it' is. Doesn't seem like too much to ask.

 

It is clear that the account has been banned for modification or tampering both actions punished by the Microsoft Services Agreement signed by the user in the moment of the registration to the service. The only thing you can do now is apply for a case review
as described in the enforcement page here:

I have no idea how to do that as it doesn't give me the option to ask for a case review as this is an xbox 360. Neither I or my daughter have any idea how to modify or fiddle with the account and according to the Help Desk there is nothing wrong with her
account and even they agree a 14 year old wouldn't know how to do this. It's ridiculous that you cannot get in contact with anyone from Enforcement Dept. Help Desk did refund my monthly payment back to me though!

I got suspended for a day for tampering and cannot get hold of any of the enforcement team i need help as my xbox 360 not my one gamerscore has been taken off me i need help.

 

As stated above, you would need to follow the link provided and submit a case review.

 

She has a Xbox 360 account and therefore the link to submit a case review doesn't work. You don't get the hand symbol come up to allow you access to raise a case review therefore I cannot do anything!!! All I can hope is that someone from Enforcement
looks at these threads and can do something. This is ridiculous. I have spent over 6 hours on and off trying to sort this out. I was considering buying her an Xbox One but at this rate will be buying her a playstation instead! I cannot believe someone
can just disconnect her account without any warning and then you cannot get hold of anyone to discuss the issue like sensible human beings.

 

The enforcement team does not use the forums so they will not see this. The case review is the only way to get in contact with them. Having a 360 account would not make the xase review link not work as it is not console specific.

The warning you receive is the code of conduct/terms of service you agree to when you create an account.

 

Well I hope someone from Enforcement reads this. My daughter has just got home from school and is now in floods of tears She has no idea why she has been banned for life I hope whoever did this is happy with themselves When they do this don't they ever
think of the consequences of their actions. I'd really like to know myself what she is meant to have done!

 

Had enough of this - am now writing to BBC Watchdog - perhaps they can help!

 

I'm sorry that you are having issues, but clearly your daughter or one of her friends modified or tampered with her account or console. This may not have been in the last few days, but may have only just come to the attention of the Xbox Live Policy Enforcement
Team. The Code of Conduct clearly states:

These are terms that both you and your daughter would have had to agree to in order to create the Xbox Live profile that she uses. All I can say at this point is that you are correct when you said "When they do this don't they ever think of the consequences
of their actions." But it applies to your daughter and/or friend. I'm sorry, but these are rules that we all must follow or suffer the consequences if we don't. Hopefully your daughter will keep this in mind when she creates a new account to play on.

 

Hey titlingsix, you say that your daughter is 14. That means she is underage and, as such, she cannot open the Case Review herself. The parental account will need to log in and then access her info from there to open the review.
