Suspension from messaging

I have received a 2 day ban from messaging based on a joke with a player I was co-oping with in Elden Ring likening glintstone sorcery to drugs with crystals being the common theme.

I assume this was caught by an automatic filter which does not account for context or detect humour - perhaps the traces of humour were too small to detect: comedy is subjective! - and it seems the message has been deleted from our chat.

I have read you community standards to try to understand why I was banned from messaging and I do not feel I have violated any standards or guidelines. The only area I think may have caused a conflict is in Section i - Keep it legal https://www.xbox.com/en-GB/legal/community-standards?xr=footnav#i where you give building a club around illegal drug use as an example. I assure you this was not the case.

As there is no means to contest this ban I've brought it up here to try to resolve the issue.

I have enjoyed playing and chatting with players online for 7 years or more and have never come across this issue before - I do hope this matter can be resolved quickly and the ban removed.

Report that message from your Xbox and that person will get a suspension.

The type of suspension is all up to the enforcement team and can vary based on the severity of the situation as well as any past enforcement actions. The enforcement team does not use the forums, so no one here could tell you exactly why they gave you the type of enforcement action they did.

Just means you can't use party or in game chat,skype send messages & anything else communication related.
