Suspension due to argument with someone

You should check the Enforcement website and see if you can file a case review.

Beyond that, there's unfortunately nothing anyone on the forums can do regarding Enforcement actions.

You have to appeal any enforcement action within a year.Since it's been 6 years you would not be able to file for a case review i'm afraid.

It wouldn't matter if you were "baited" or someone else started the argument ,if you respond in a way that violates the rules then you risk a ban/suspension.

IceBoNeZ, Microsoft will never tell you if they banned someone else or not. If you want to see if they did ban someone, check the forums. I can assure you that it does work, as this is my second gamertag due to the first one receiving a permanent suspension.

In order to prevent that from happening in the future:

No matter how heated the argument gets: Never ever take the bait of someone else and find yourself using bad language in a reply.

That way you give the other person a chance at reporting your reply and getting you banned.

If you really want to hurt someone in an argument, check if his message or behavior violates the Xbox Live Code of Conduct and report his message.

Then bring up that person's profile and block that account from contacting you.

There is nothing worse for a person in an argument than being ignored.

If you reply to his arguments, they only laugh and make fun of you, and enjoy your reaction. Being ignored and blocked is far more worse for them, and it prevents you from getting banned.

It takes time for the suspension to happen, so your second one was likely due to something that happened a few days earlier.

Enforcement does not send you any kind of notification if they suspend/ban someone that you reported.

Mute, ignore, and move on. Then you won't have to worry about suspensions in the future.
