Suspension after one mistake and i don’t know what to do

i got suspended for almost 6 months for trying to change my profile picture i didn’t realise there was a issue with it because it didn’t go onto my account. I assumed the xbox app was glitching i’ve now got 7/8 strikes for one small mistake that barley was against regulations i tried appealing but just received a scripted email saying my suspension was valid. I agree it was valid but only for a couple days not 6 months. I don’t know what to do
