Suspended for swearing on an 18 rated game? Are you joking Microsoft?

i have been suspended for saying two swear words to someone on an 18 rated game ? Surely if they are not old enough to see "swear words" they shouldn't be on an 18 game??

I would like to hear good reason why they shouldn't also get banned Since they must clearly be under age..

You've always been suspended for swearing on live.You may of got away with in the past because you weren't reported but the rules haven't changed.

The age rating on a game has nothing to do with xbox live,everything you do on live must be rated E for everyone.

There haven't been any changes to policy. How can you have been on Xbox Live for 10 years and not know that the policy has always been that the interactions on Live are to be rated E for Everyone? Swearing is swearing.

So ur saying if I'm playing 18 rated game and using game chat with friends because party chat is not working, that I'm not aloud to use common swear words that I hear everyday ? Just in case there's a 12 year old playing the 18 rated game?

 

regardless of it being an 18 rated game, you're using xbox live service correct? at sign up you get prompted to read the ToU/CoC and you agree to them. saying you will not do all the things mentioned in the CoC/ToU, if you do you will have an enforcement
action against you and you did agreed that you will be held responsible if an violation happened.

Being on an 18 rated game while online, it doesn't give anyone the pass to be rude/swear etc. remember you're still using the xbox live service meaning you still have to keep all forms of communication clean.

If a game is rated 18 that means the single player part has 18 rated content & it is illegal for anyone under 18 to buy the game,not play it.

Xbox live is not rated,no matter what game you play & as mentioned already,you must abide by the CoC/ToU when on Xbox live.
