Suspended for something I wrote on a sign in Minecraft?

I have recently gotten suspended on xbox and quote "the account in question made a references to
"[Mod Removed-Inappropriate word]" enlargement pills" on the Xbox Live Service." This was written on a sign ingame and that's it, On top of that, i was banned today after week of writing it. This reference was not mentioned again. Is this something
in small text saying " you also get suspended for something on minecraft?"

Been suspend for no reason

Well, it depends what was shown in the picture of your Minecraft world.

If you built something that depicted something that violated the Code of Conduct (for example, you placed a sign, wrote a nasty message on it, snapped a picture of the nasty message sign and posted that), then you can get suspended for that.

So you probably didn't get banned for simply posting pictures of a Minecraft world, but probably for what was shown in the Minecraft world.

Since you didn't provide information what was shown in the picture, we can only assume and speculate.

My account was suspended today. I played earlier never received a message or email?? I checked before I wrote this what gives?

Well, the "small text" is the Xbox Code of Conduct you agreed upon when you signed up for Xbox Live. You can

read the Code of Conduct here.

If you check the section about "Content in Xbox Live" it defines "content" as "anything
you create, share, use, or promote that another person could see or hear or otherwise experience,
like Gamertags, profile information, in-game content, and videos." (Emphasis by me).

They also say what content is "prohibited". Among other things, "Content that is controversial" is prohibited. "For example: [...] Sexual, provocative, pornographic, or adult content", which describes your reference to
"[Mod Removed-Inappropriate word]" enlargement pills".

So if you create a sign as "in-game content" which violates the Code of Conduct in Minecraft, and "another person sees" that prohibited content, they can report you for that, and the Enforcement Team has to act upon that.

As for the suspension a week after writing the sign: Be aware that the Enforcement Team literally gets thousands of reports each day. So they work through enforcement reports in an automatically priorized queue, and it might just be, that your report took
a week to reach a person that would then check and thoroughly verify the report and issue a suspension.

 

Yes writing something like that in a game is more than enough to get you suspended, The code of conduct clearly states that anything you do or say that someone else could see or hear can get you suspended if deemed to be against the code of conduct of xbox
live.

You won't always get banned straight away as it depends on when a person reported you and when the enforcement team reviewed the ban.

 

Xbox live rules does not apply in games!

So his ban is false!

This was copied and pasted directly from the code of conduct page that was linked earlier so YES in game content is enforceable also for live.

 

Why wouldn't they apply "in games" when the Code of Conduct clearly states "in-game content"?

Xbox live rules absolutely apply while in games. If you violate a games terms of service they can block you from connecting to their servers and games. If you go against the Xbox Code of Conduct while using Xbox Live you are subject to action against your
Xbox Account.

Someone most certainly had him reported for the in-game content he wrote.

I do agree with steeledwand7664, Xbox rules applies to everything and that why it important that you read the code of conduct because the enforcement team wouldn't put a suspension on his account for no reason.

The Xbox Live code of conduct and terms of service absolutely apply in game.
